Divya Joshi's writings are intimate, unselfconscious whisperings, with potency beneath the simple structures of language and line. She incisively sees through shards and facades of existence. No wonder her enigmatic poems are startling. They were not meant to be read by an outsider. Her seeking unearths refreshing dimensions of a lived experience, and the range of her deliberation is on a spectrum of feminism applied through motherhood, womanhood, memory, nostalgia, hypothesis, and prophecies with rich philosophical depth and imagery.

Your poems are steeped so much into culture. You have the disposition of a poet. Poetry doesn’t come to you, its part of your emotional/mental make-up.

Divya’s poems are like a journey of self-discovery. Her poetry is a refusal of blinders, traditional consolations, she has the courage to be alone or wounded.

The title ‘Dance of Life ‘is alluring. The use of images, metaphors, colorful and meditative imagery pulsates with vitality. Images speak their own language…..She works on language seriously.

Dr. Divya. Joshi has poured magic through words weaving a beautiful poetic experience of insights she has had from her own life. It's written in from a feminine perspective but reading through it everyone one will find beautiful learning for their own personal journey. It will be an enriching experience of reading through the poems in the collection. You can open randomly and read any poem.. enriching literature experience .. a must have!!

Dr Divya Joshi’s “Dance of Life” has beautifully delineated the power of ‘Prakriti’ or ‘aadishakti’ through her outpouring verses. Her powerful thoughts, while traversing different layers of consciousness, reflect picturesque imagery in her poems. Each poem has justified the theme that Dr Joshi imagined to sketch. Although I enjoyed reading all her poems, my favourites are Maa, Torn Apart, Body and Beyond, Shakti, To My Son, Erasure, Shadows to name a few….. Looking forward to reading many more books of poetry by her.

A writing by the woman, of the woman, not necessarily only for the woman. I will say every man must read it to know woman's mind. For a student of writing, it teaches how writing need not be complicated to convey the intended imagery. Words speak for themselves in these poems.
